People really don't know how to advocate for themselves, at work, in a relationship, whatever.

And then the other side of this equation: don't get serious with someone that you have very few similar interests with.
Having someone constantly pressure you to partake in things that aren't your interest, that's a self-imposed problem.

it’s tough…part of being in relationship is the understanding that it comes with a sort of compromise/duty, that often involves a kind of begrudging participation in stuff that tho not personally enjoyable, there is a genuine pleasure in doing the thing that makes the other person happy (to which you’d hope the other person would have the awareness/care to recognize this & find that stuff that balances out the enjoyment quotient for both, such that it isn’t one sided)…
generally men & women have disparate interests so not sure folks having similar interests is that highly correlated with (romantic) relationships enduring or satisfaction with said relationship, i just think most men enter into relationships already knowing, (un)fortunately for some men, doing certain things almost exclusively for the happiness their ol’ lady comes with the woman…& this is often compounded by women generally not having this same reciprocal understanding (just the expectation)
or not to the same extent at least
