Had a couple of teammates in college that got hit hard. One took a fastball to the left eye, eye came out of the socket. Had multiple surgeries to fix it but fully recovered. The other was a pitcher that took a come backer to the head. Had to be airlifted off the field, had brain swelling for a while but also fully recovered.
