That lady who got the ticket for holding a phone in her non-existent right hand reminded me of a similar story where I lucked out.

Cop pulled me over one morning on the way to work like 15 some odd years ago. I had a banana in my hand...he thought it was a phone. No sir, I dont even have a phone (which was true...I wasn't carrying a cell phone everyday at that time)...what you saw my was breakfast banana.

Buddy admitted he was wrong. Still ran my plates and made me sweat for 10 mins over nothing, but at least he wasn't too proud to admit his mistake.

I had Minneapolis police pull me over for no reason. Said there was weed in the car and they pulled me over for swerving. Just give them the weed and they’ll let me go.

There was no weed, I told them that. They cuffed me brought a bunch of other cops and dogs, the dogs found nothing an hour later they let me go.

Being from Minneapolis I got pulled over atleast a few times a year when I lived there.

I have lived in the south for almost 7 years, even had expired tabs for 3 of them (never even bothered to register my car when I moved) Haven't been bothered even once.

People just don't know what it's like unless they have lived it.

I live in St. Paul now I don’t think I’ve ever been pulled over by them.

And yeah people who don’t live here or haven’t lived here don’t understand how bad they are.

I remember a girl fight at school, it wasn’t anything major it’s two 100 pound girls fighting. Cop comes up choke slams one and pepper sprays the other but like holds it in her face like he enjoyed it.

My tiny rural town and the surrounding tiny towns are like 99.9% white so I’ve never really heard/seen things like racial profiling but they’re still cartoonishly corrupt and annoying.

I initially thought the cop who asked me point blank to illegally buy a gun off me for his unnamed friend was doing some sort of misguided sting operation but I asked around and he really is like that.
Aside from that same cop visiting my mom afterwards to accuse me of firearm possession and trafficking, the ‘friend’ later visited my aunt as well to likewise pressure her. Turns out this friend was some hunter with a shady reputation who apparently knew my dad to some extent, hence knowing about the unregistered guns. I asked our department about said cop during an unrelated interaction and they denied he ever even visited me.

One time the cops also stopped me on my bicycle for cycling with a broken light. I got back on when they left but it turns out they were just waiting around the corner and then not only gave me a ticket but proceeded to accompany me to make sure I walked the remaining 2-3 kilometers back home. Just being annoying for the sake of being annoying. Our roads barely have traffic and the cycling lane is more than wide enough, no one cares about a broken light.

I’m white too but I’ve still experienced plenty mpd *******. Obviously it’s worse if you’re not white.

Look up the Australian woman the mpd killed for no reason. Truly a gem of a police department.
