Just had my first colonoscopy today. Based on family history I need to have one every 5 years. Men stay on top of this.

Got back pretty tired from the team sports therapy session yesterday and guess my brain had to meet my bi-weekly epileptic seizure quota 
Wasn't even back for 5 minutes and apparently dropped to the floor in the kitchen. At least it was only 30 seconds or so, not too much muscle damage.
I never remember the moment or the first ~30 minutes afterwards but so I always have to ask about my behavior afterwards but apparently I was polite.
The nursing staff said I started rambling about not talking to cops, demanded a lawyer and went on about not having drugs or guns on me though
I think that's a new one. From what I heard it's usually it's just the typical 'who are you, where am I, how did I get here', type of nonsense.
They also do the letter thing with mammographies for women but idk about the age or frequency. Both exams are considered cheap under our healthcare so I'd like to think the pressure campaigns work for the most part.

It's not like a mandatory exam here or anything but past a certain age, our government sends you a letter every few years to remind you that you should get a colonoscopy. It's like every 2 years or something past the age of 50 that you start getting those letters.

Yeah, turns out I have a gene that increases my risk of bowel cancer so I have to get it 2 yearly - first one was last summer. Not the worst thing I’ve ever done. The stuff to clear you out wasn’t pleasant but it’s also not as explosive as I expected it to be.
Did it with just the gas and air (they offered me a sedative but it makes you a bit fuzzy for 24 hours and I had stuff to do). There were only a couple moments of discomfort - but a few puffs on the thing and it all faded away.
The cup of tea and cookie afterwards was fantastic!

My wife is making fun of me because we’re leaving to go to Disneyland Paris in a few hours. Last time I was there I wanted a hat but couldn’t find any good ones - so I made my own. Found this blank New Era in an outlet and did this.
