THE U Vs. VA. TECH THREAD

As a FSU fan, I'll take the little happiness I can get.

Great choke job by the U, but not as bad as FSU SMH

Good has to come from this. Offensive Line and Jacory needs to use this game to prepare for OU. They'll be bringing the same type of pressure against themnext week. Hopefully our starting DT's will be back

hell yeah just got back from the game. everyone was drenched but it was so much fun. tonight's bout to be wild. go hokies!

Totally didn't think we would win this game, nice to see the team prove me wrong.

Defense was lights out today. I knew we'd get our #@%* together and they picked a good time to do it.

How y'all like Ryan Williams?

I was real glad to see the offensive line block well and move the ball well and sustain drives.

The schedule drops off from here; our toughest remaining game is at GT and I think they are beatable. UNC and ECU are the only other two legit programs weplay, and I think we could definitely finish 11-1.

The game was night and day from what we've seen from Miami so far this season. Hopefully Shannon can get the team ready for Oklahoma. At the beginning ofthe year 2-1 at this point every one would've been happy. Far from fraud status. The media hype just got seriously out of control with the first two wins.

Holy crap.

This game was 2003 redux but played during the day. It was so bad I actually I fell asleep watching it. It was like I saw this game already play out. The lastbit of the game I saw was the drops by Graham. Those drops = Kevin Everett's drop on the fake FG in '03.

What's even more baffling was some of our fans expectations before the game. This is VT @ Lane Stadium, I don't care how good our team is/was it'sgoing to be a tough game. Some people were flat out calling for a blow out. Odds of that happening were very slim, even with probably our best team ever westill couldn't blow them out.

As to our performance, this team showed they're soft. They've made improvements in many areas from the past few years but they're still soft. VTshowed we could be punched in the mouth, from this game it was more like getting punched in the vagina. Bud Foster absolutely took Whipple's lunch today.Did this team even prepare for the rain? The forecast at the beginning of the week called for 100% rain today. The gameplan we had was NOT suited for the rain.

Hopefully this experience @ Lane Stadium will give Jacory that extra "something" that helps his career just like it did Dorsey after his first gamethere in '99.

Said the same thing about the reminiscent of the 2003 game on the last page. We should never throw to Tight-ends against Va-Tech ever again.

Funny what happens, when you become the favorite

Just horrible.

Did not like the playcalls, The defense let VT run all over them.

However,

After 3 games of this schedule, I'll still take 2-1.

Never liked the hype that we've been getting for the past 9 days. We played terrible but here are my observations:

- We didn't game plan for the weather in any way, shape, or form. You knew it was going to be an ugly game
- Coop should be our main running back, and Baby J should be used for short yardage situations
- Our biggest weakness is run defense, we've got to get more size on the d-line
- I'm not comfortable with Jacory being 6'4" 190. I can't see how he's ever going to be able to consistently protect the ball at that size
- I don't have a problem with Jimmy "Hands of Stone" Graham, he has a lot of potential. I have a problem with RS/Whipple playing him in criticalsituations when he hasn't played football since his sophmore year of high school. Dude should be getting burn against FAMU, not at VT in a drivingrainstorm

I actually feel that we have a shot against Oklahoma. I think we can bounce back and learn from the mistakes made yesterday.

Camn in here late just to say damn...
