Speaking of wages...something you all might find interesting....

Wage bills:

QPR: £78m
Borussia Dortmund: £68m
Atlético Madrid: £54m

:smh:

The transfer fee is separate from a player's salary.

The transfer fee is what a team pays another team to get the rights to that player.

Instead of trading a player for player like the American sports, in soccer they buy/sell players for sums of money.

Once they player is sold, then they negotiate the salary with their new team

They can also transfer (trade) players for one another, it's just rarely done.

True, but a player + cash, for a player is still done a little more often.

who the hell is QPR paying?

who the hell is QPR paying?

I assume former prem players are driving their wages up...

Benayoun, Barton, Ekotto, Zamora, Traore, Jenas, Hoilett etc.

It can be very difficult for a club when it gets relegated. Most clubs try and sell off their players asap, but when they're older and tied to contract, I guess you're stuck with them and their wages (even if lowered).

Good guga muga... Just watch America vs Santos Laguna off my DVR... Jaw was a score fest... 5-3 America with Jimenez bagging a hat trick for America...

I read that Hazard wouldn't say no to PSG if his wife would like to go there...

Hopefully the addition of Costa helps Hazard and he shuts up now

Andy Carroll scoring a goal. Hope he gets called to Brazil just to read the English paper meltdown.

Reading/Burnley is over on bein. Watching that since there's more at stake that this WHU/Spurs game...
