Yeah it was, but Italy still suck, even getting that lucky win vs one of the worst countries in the world.

I'll be in Prague on a Europa League match day and would love to go see Sparta Prague - FC Lausanne.

Probably a bit off-topic for this thread, but I figured that, with all of the international football fans in here, there may be a few people with experience in hunting down footie tickets.

Thanks in advance for any and all help.
I don't know if I would go to any website and in fact, I wouldn't try to find tickets online first. Ticket service sites are just too damn expensive. I bet Chech has their own version of US' ticketmaster but I doubt they would provide English site. Also look up on team's website, they probably have more infos in terms of ticketing.
Unless you are a 'member' (season ticket holder, basically), you really can't get tickets like weeks prior to matchday. Some teams sell tickets to general public like 3-4 days prior to the matchday at their respective team shops.  Best bet is to go to the stadium on the matchday and buy tickets there. Ticket booths usually opens up couple hours prior to match. Worst case scenario, you get to be around the stadium and hit the bar nearby and watch the game on TV with local fans and that's

Dang I was just about to ask a similar question a few days ago. Im going to hopefully be in a similar situation as you PrurientSole Im might be heading over to England to visit my family and grandmother as she is getting up there in age before school starts. I should be over there during the Arsenal vs SC Barga Champions League game at the Emirates. Ive been looking for tickets the second the match days were announced but they're super expensive. Although just like big games anywhere you know you're going to pay huge prices for tickets online and its best to go out and try and get them on game day, but I don't want to risk it. As cool as it would be to catch it in a local Pub its just not the same since I'm so close but still just be watching it on TV. I'm torn between what to do.....any NTers headed to the game and have a extra ticket for me???

CL games are tad bit more expensive than regular EPL games (if EPL games ain't already expensive enough). I don't know how long you'll be staying over in England but England vs Montenegro game (it's 2010 Euro Qualifier) at Wembley should be go on sale soon. The game is on October the 10th and I think from the website, the most expensive seat is about 60 pounds. Although, your quarter starts in about 3 weeks (just judging from your avy, I'm also a 'dawg')? I suggest you to go over to the Arsenal's website (they speak English you know) because even if you are not a member, you can still see when the tickets will be sold to general public. Although good luck with getting those tickets, it'll sell out FAST (you might get a good seat though, surprisingly). I learned my lesson when I was doing study abroad at Rome couple years ago when I tried to get the Roma Derby ticket, I didn't get the ticket and it was BRUTAL to just line up for a ticket
