i dont follow soccer at all but why is it in extra time if Real was up 2-1 the whole time?

It's a two legged tie (one home game, one away game for each side) and the game is tied 3-3.
 
What a pity that RM has no longer an english player.

Two cracking Semi finals though, congrats to Bayern -my money's on them now for the trophy.
 
The fact that Bayern rested 8 of their players in their league game on Sunday while Real played with their strongest lineup in El Clasico made the difference in a game as close as this. Mourinho should've known better - never aim for a penalty shootout against anything even remotely German.

Props to Bayern. The better team won. They'll win on their home pitch in the final.
