Nonetheless just converted season 1 and put it on the iPod

Seinfeld is definitely the best sitcom of all time.

I think the Wire would be my favorite show of all time if Season 2 didn't suck so bad. I know it sort of tied in the end but it just seemed so off basewith the rest of the seasons.

^ agreed, people didn't understand it, I still think it's the season with the deepest meaning and the most realistic, season 4 would be the other.season 3 and 5 were a huuuge stretch but you understand the message and season 1 was just great.

Seinfeld was historic, that show had a huge cultural impact that can't be ignored and shows are still trying to copy their formula.



The Wire, to me, is the best show ever because of the details, stories, characters and brutal honesty. It doesn't take sides, it humanizes everyone, itties things together beautifully and delivers messages sometimes clear sometimes subtle about all kinds of things. Most other shows can't get into thingsit got into, LOST might be great but it can't explore most of those themes because its a bunch of people stuck on an island (although there are some themesthat you can argue are exactly about THAT). In all The Wire is a beautiful piece of American literature from top to bottom that really got into places inAmerican life like no other piece of literature before it. And lastly, it was refreshingly different because it wasn't about plot twists or what was goingto happen, it was just life, most shows would not have killed off such amazingly popular characters as they did when they did but that was part of what life islike there, who you are won't save you.

The best series ever created. The attention to detail was on another level, from the connect to the music played in the streets. And for the record Curb YourEnthusiasm > Seinfeld.

The story line was well thought out, I mean they devoted season 2 (...zzzzz) to just setting up WHERE the cocaine connect was coming from.
Once you get passed season 2, the character development only gets better. Even though they are the bad guys, you get attached to people like bell, brody, Omar, and that lil dude that was always thinkin about the P (dude looked like he was 13 goin on 35 with that 5 oclock shadow).
Definately probably will be one of the most intriguingly deep, and complex shows of my lifetime (LOST too).
