That is definitely going to be a major topic of discussion during negotiations. This thought just popped into my head but maybe they do it similar to an academic school year where they get breaks and ****.
Sounds ridiculous, I know, but it just may work with the proper provisions. Both sides will have to be extremely flexible on the issue.

Beal had a better individual season than your whole team 3. Team success is team success. If you do the hypothetical swap, neither CP3 or Simmons is making that wizards team better.

it should be but CP3 could afford to be the second or even 3rd best player in OKC in many nights. Ben Simmons was out here scoring single digits (and playing great defense).
8/10 NTers can’t name the wizards starting 5. It’d be nice to play with SGA and Liam Schroeder. Or even an Embiid.

I'm just saying if it's just the numbers several players have an argument (Booker, Trae) as well as Beal. Their teams are also awful. I saw Lowe's list and he has Tatum and Simmons on his third team and Lowry, Westbrook and Booker as omissions. If that's what Beal is taking gumption with I agree.

Westbrook is the only argument to me. Booker plays for a young team with some talent, they suck but here they are in the bubble. The hawks were 14th in the East. The wizards minus Beal are by far the worst team in the league. He got them to 9th. Lowry, CP3, Simmons ain’t doing that. Zero chance.

They're ninth in the East with 24 wins. The Hawks got 20 and the Suns got 26 and are 13th in the West.
You could just as easily say replacing Beal on some of those other squads wouldn't have yielded the success they had this season with their squads.

Beal's putrid defense plus lack of team success isn't going to help his case much. He's on my 3rd team though.
