Who knows though. It's too early to be doing this speculating, and Jackie MacMullan is definitely biased with her Boston ties. I'm definitely rooting for locker room implosion, though.
The thing is... I'd understand if it were JUST Jackie McMullan. But there are numerous reporters who have talked about Kyrie over the last few years.

I always found it kinda odd that Kyrie has so many close friends around the league. Like almost a dozen of the top 20 players and he's hella tight with them. And it's super slimey how Ainge slick tried to blame him for his own failure to build a team. I think he's a weirdo but having those kind of friendships does say something about him, ya know? Hats off to Ky

so it’s ok for players to call dude out but it isn’t ok for reporters to report it?

Where did i say that? i'm simply stating that i believe some reporters have went beyond just reporting what happened & have decided to project their feelings on the situation.

When i see reporters saying Kyrie killed the Chemistry & Fun on the Nets, and the team doesn't seem like they like eachother.... based off one game & a lack of enthusiasm from the bench.........

that is no longer reporting or facts.... that is speculation and an OPINION on a situation... which is odd, when people on the team, not "anonymous sources" but people are coming out publicly and denying some of these things that are being said.

But this has probably been going on his whole career, it gained steam last year because Boston media needed a scapegoat for their season & now suddenly everytime Kyrie does anything someone doesn't like it's an issue & report on it.

Scapegoat? Kyrie said A LOT OF THINGS about being a leader and his teammates, including Al Horford saying that the team needed a veteran to help the team. That **** was stressful cuz instead of balling out, the team wasn’t able to bounce back nor address all the internal problem affecting their game.

Though he addressed all the drama from last year during the Nets presser and he was sorry for it because he went through a loss, but that would have been remedied if he did something about it.

Like I said, he moved on and we wish him luck.l and regardless where he goes, news will follow him.

Bro Ben gordon was making IG vids and posts of him saying he wanted to off himself.. I don't think Kyrie is to that level of extreme yet.

That’s kind of the point though. Ben didn’t get to that point overnight. He got progressively worse over time. Might be time for Kyrie to get help so he never gets to where Gordon got.

This is why I've always felt like they would be coming into a place where they may never fully fit in. Joining the team with a couple of other dudes, and two of your closest friends, I can see them almost being on an island in Brooklyn with the rest of their teammates.

I wouldn't say Jackie Mac is biased. She always been solid. She loves Magic and Kobe. Never came off like somebody with a agenda.

Media folks are vultures. They'll do whatever it takes to perpetuate a hot take or plant a bad seed. It's good for business.

and on a side note if some of ya'll are gonna be discussing things i say, or claims i make just say my name

there's been a lot of catty hoeish behavior going on in here :smh:

You're right, this is a trend.

But even as a Knicks fan, it just feels like the media is a little to eager and doing more to initiate Kyrie acting out of character than anything.

It's been a couple weeks now? I'll give him until mid-season.

But the fact that him and KD are there together, and they both seem to think pretty similarly and go against the grain with a lot of things. They better force themselves to ingratiate themselves with the rest of their teammates there, and not stay on KD and Kyrie island, because I could see that being a problem.

The Nets were on an upward trajectory, and Kyrie and KD kind of shifted the whole franchise on a whim. I know that doesn't rub everyone the right way usually.

That and Kyrie having an identical situation the first year in BK to what he had last year in Boston. You had to know this season would be interesting for the Nets.

But look at me speculating on something I just said it was too early to speculate about.

Maybe biased is the wrong word...but watching him last year so closely in Boston in probably his worst season as a leader could have skewed her perspective of him.

Jackie is solid. Should never use that word with her so I take it back.

Is there a reason we’re acting like Dwight couldn’t produce?

The question with him was whether he could stay on the court, not if he could still play when he’s on the court.

And his attitude. Everywhere he's left they couldn't wait to get rid of him. Atlanta was like "This dude is a clown in the locker room". That's Atlanta, they ain't won nothing and said we don't want him.

He's got a new energy and focus right now. Gotta give him credit.

Biggest surprises are the Clippers and the Lakers. I like what the Clippers are doing on defense, the Phoenix game is probably skewing it a bit.

I don't really care for the Lakers offense but it's working so far. It's only been four games.

Lakers offense is garbage, but it's early and no Kuz.

Clippers have been so godly on offense, their lack of defense doesn't even matter so far.
