Should be noted they just have to finish as the second best team from the Americas to qualify for the Olympics. If they don't, they have to play in a play-in tournament two weeks before the Olympics. Argentina and Brazil will certainly get up for any potential games against them, but Canada really blew an opportunity in this tournament.

They definitely shouldn't be losing games like this, but Pop was also not playing the actual rotation.

Talent is one thing. In 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, Team USA had the most talent. They got lucky making the gold medal game in 2000, then lost in their next three international competitions (excluding 2003 FIBA Americas).
 
Nobody on this team has a killer instinct like that. Kemba is relentless but can only do so much. He'll pass when he needs to but doesn't really make plays. Mitchell been overrated. Turner seems content just being on the court. Tatum is ok but plays timid at times and pouts when things aren't going his way. Brown has actually been solid but his game is limited. Barnes is a walking mismatch with Kobe's skillset. Middleton.. nothing much to say about him. Only Kuzma can save this team
 
When you look at the rosters, it’s preposterous that USA would lose. There’s something about international basketball that evens things out. It’s a completely different game than the NBA. NBA is based on iso ball, transition, and mismatches. International is based on patience, ball movement, cuts, teamwork.
 
^Australia has at least 5 NBA players tho. It's not that crazy for a PG like Patty to go off because Kemba isn't a great defender. They shared the ball and really just played harder than USA. We got jobbed on some calls but really didn't deserve to win. I expected it to be close after that last game but didn't think they'd lose. Overall USA's defense is sus

Mills and Ingles are legit weapons in the Nba. The other 3 (Delly, Bogut, Baynes) are bench fodder.

It comes down to pride. It looks like the US has no interest in being there. Like they’re doing a chore for their country. They don’t want to over exert themselves. In the back of their mind, they’re thinking about the upcoming season. They need to be all in.
 
Baynes and Delly servicable 7th-8th man, Bogut good for 10 minutes still so yeah still 5 nba playere
 
That's how many overpaid NBA stars are now. They don't know that's an honor to be part of team USA.
They only want a ring somehow and much money.
