Not being allowed to like 'white culture'

Being a ***** just to fit in

Being told 'you ain't gonna be ****'

Not being allowed to embrace your culture (I like nikes and cargos, keep your chubbier over there)

Being the only black dude in any situation

Not being the only black dude but the other black dude thinks your to 'white'

Not Being the only black dude and the other black dude is lame as hell

The phrase 'the last black guy I dated...' (**** that *****)

Overall...not being free to be your own person


Sidenote- being a young black male is cool as hell, from the hip hop culture, to smashing white chicks off pure blackness, surprising people with your intellect, forcing people to change their perception. Family cookouts ; family stories. Having 'swag' automatically

Overall, while it sucks sometimes, I for damn sure wouldn't want to be any other race. I love the American Negro

And before anyone is on there 'you don't have to do anything but stay black and die, F society' I look at you as young or naive. Half of who you are is how you are viewed in society, whether you agree or not.

See...I'm more concerned with my personal reputation. I mean I would like black folk of having a reputation for intelligence, it's important because it gives you a leg up on first impressions... If you don't see how important people's perception of you is, you must be young.
Oh, and whether they like it or not, when its all said and I will be equal, regardless how far down their nose they look, history decides who's a hero, imma keep working until history has no choice but to respect me as equal to any man...believe that.
