This Nicholas Cage cat is pure comedy

I'm trying to understand how this man has had so many roles and yet plays himself in every single one of them. You would think that writers with any kind of sense would pass on Nick but he keeps getting parts.

But just to be fair I did enjoy "Gone in 60 seconds" and "Face off" other than that he has the worst catalog ever, and he won an Oscar...???

Can't stand him! He's so annoying!

With that said, raising arizona and con air are good movies.

The guy acts like Jimmy Stuart. . .

His movies are terrible...that is a given.... but if ever you're hanging with your buddies and nothing is on....put on a Nick Cage movie and everyone will be heckling and having a good time making fun of his movies in no time.

BTW you're from the bay area huh?

Yeah, but he's largely responsible for his terribleness. If he didn't say yes to everything, maybe they would put some effort in giving him a quality role.

hella = Bay Area. 99% certain dude is from the Bay.

my man Nick gets alot of heat here on NT, but people forget he's made alot of entertaining movies.

I can bet everyone here can name atleast one movie he is in that you enjoyed.

Although the last few years he definitely has fallen off.

Cant stay on top forever.

He's one of the worst actors ever, yet somehow still entertaining to watch. I'll never understand it.

isnt dude broke now?

there are some actors that no matter who theyre playing you cant see past them, like tom cruise (except in tropic thunder), or Keanu Reaves

Lol this is so dam true

If Nick Cage plays himself in all of his roles then he's probably one of the most interesting, complex, and coolest #*@+%$+%+!*%! on the planet.

Nick Cage in Matchstick Men > OP.

I always see homey get hate and Wicker Man was %%**!* (so was Ghost rider and I hear that's getting a sequel

) but I've never noticed some stunningly horrible acting from the man. Maybe yall just aint seen him (or he hasn't been in) the right role for yall to see that he actually got some acting talent. I will admit all those action movies he was in the 90s probably did limit him a bit.

Was he playing himself in Kickass too?

Like Star says about upcoming black actors Nick should probably play a homosexual that just got out of prison, etc.

Then the more Oscar noms will come.

he is related to francis ford copolla
i think his real last name is copolla
had a shoe-in and was groomed to be a star

only thing worse than his acting is are his hair plugs
but r.arizona is awesome

true but i don't see him as a bad actor though.

con air and national treasure 1&2

How does a grown fairly intelligent man make 30 mill a year and go broke. Idiot.

Really...you don't see him as a bad actor?

He always looks tired on the screen...his character never seems believable. IMO he's more worst of an actor than Tom Cruise and that is saying a lot.

i'm not much of an acting critic. i'm more on the plot.

never seems believable? i guess that's hollywood for us
