Although a war criminal, the man has made his actions and the actions of others public record. I wouldn't use the word "commendable", but it would fit in this situation.
But how can you not see the issue with this video?? A war criminal who freely admits to murdering people is being applauded by a room full of people??![]()
What is going on? Where is the accountability??![]()
I don't see anyone else stepping up, what are they supposed to do place the entire U.S. marine on trial? If he is held accountable, the entire U.S. military should be held accountable as well.
If your issue is with accountability I feel you, but if this man is held accountable it would only make him a scape goat.
While their missions are completely different, it's almost analogous to blaming the entire Catholic Church over individual priests who have molested children.
If anything, this is a sick, deranged man who is trying to use the military as a scapegoat for his own twisted actions
Never said all marines were bad cookies. I am saying if he goes down- there should be an investigation into some of the claims he made.....many of which I am certain are valid. If people like him don't step up with their accounts, terrible war crimes go unnoticed-this is what i meant when I said I commend him for doing so. I didn't mean "I commend him for killing people".
He clearly isn't the only one in the military killing innocent people, let's not be naive...I would even go as far as saying the innocent casualties (direct and indirect) in the wars in the middle east may very well exceed the casualties of the so called "insurgents".
