Having a Mac isn't going to completely protect you from the popups. What it will protect you from is the viruses and malware associated with the popupsthat many of the people running on PC's are experiencing.

At the end of the day, Macs still have the edge.
 
This happened to me yesterday and I actualyl tried to make a topic like this the whole Pron poppin up thing jus aint cool u never know who is around whenbrowsing Nt at times I show pics of stuff or even foward topix to my friends when I think something is funny Im def not trying to be sitting in class browsingNT next to a cute or sumthing and next thing i know it looks like im browsing random porn sites
 
Yeah, I was on my iMac not too long ago. Fling.com or whatever it was, popped up and I got walked in on.

listen to this man, dl this program. It finds everything that your other security software doesnt. Who would've thought the years and yearsi've been toiling dangerous pr0n sites safely and malware free, NT would be the spot i catch one from. Essay Meych.
 
this happened to me yesterday. pops was standing next to me too..... oh well.

It's like beating a dead horse with a stick, they are treating this situation like they don't care. You have ONE yuku employee respondingto that topic, this is serious and they do not give a damn, " we'll get on that asap" what type of crap is that?

How hard is it for them to filter ads, or to give the individual boards the options to filter the ads if the Yuku staff is too damn lazy and or greedy to do itfor us.
 
Lets just find more responsible hosts. Even though my pc is fort knoxed up, NT is the last place in my history i expect to be on the lookout for.

I don't think we can move everything to another host, if we move we lose everything.
 
Yuku has been crap from day one though. It takes forever to load sometimes hence all the sextuple posts you always see.

I got hit last night too and I have MB. It's ridiculous. I've never gone on a board/forum that actually does this. It's ridiculous! Why doesn'teveryone use the template that all other forums use?
