I'm as far left wing as they get, but I absolutely support guns (though the way some people fetishize them like the NRA nut jobs is odd to me). The working class must have a means to defend itself against the ruling class and it's state apparatus.

Bought this recently:

There are far too many out there in the US to effectively attempt to buy them back. I wish there was a way though. With that being the case, I see no issue with responsible adults having a shot gun or handgun in the home.
My exact feelings

Fashion. I have different pairs for different outfits. Different shirts, jeans, socks etc. Do your guns complete your outfits?
I have guns for different activities. Guns for hunting big game and small game. Guns for target shooting and guns for home protection. Guns for concealed carry.

I was never big into the gun debate until the last administration. Anyone who supports further gun restrictions either slept through the last 4 years and/or didn't watch any news at all.

As a gun owner, i personally dont like the fact that i have to carry my piece with me but i rather have it and not ever need it than to need it and not have it. Especially in this day and age and ESPECIALLY in this scary *** country where fools are quick to put a barrel in your mouth for lookin their way funny.

If you cant beat em, join em.

I don’t think the stats support guns as a self defense mechanism. Guns also are not going to help against the government though. We’re so incredibly past that from a technology perspective.

That said - i’m all for it. Own guns. The US has so many problems and if some people only feel safe walking around with a piece it’s a can we can’t step back from.

Guns won’t protect you from the government but they’ll protect you when your city is burning because the government and you got idiots coming from all over the country coming in to capitalize on their weird arson fantasy.

a lot of peoples stores are houses are still standing now because they had guns.

To many people yes. I used to be like some of you guys, only seeing guns in the news and being anti-gun until i got my first gun in 2020 right before covid started. I ended up getting to more guns. No I don't carry them outside only to the gun range but i spend a lot of time on gun subreddits/forums.

Look at actual news stories of people defending themselves with a gun against an attacker. Nobody plans to be in an altercation or in a setup, that's why they carry their gun everyday wherever they go.

Guns don't kill guns.

I'm a fan of guns as inanimate objects, but less so as human possessions.

Mostly because when you combine human incompetence, instability, comfortability with deadly ranged force multipliers, sometimes stuff gets troublesome or even broken. Sure if you're a great enough dip****, you can still inflict some harm to the stuck-ups at your highschool with a spoon, but if your parents encourage you to buy a so-called sporting rifle to deal or distract you from your untreated anger issues, it could lead to unfortunate events unfolding live on CNN. Then again, it's not only an American tradition, is a giant industry, a way of life and a means of living, Just like the proliferation of opioids to the extend these products spill over and flood the streets, while there is catastrophic collateral damage, job creation and profits are not unsubstantial.

Loved drawing guns as a kid, loved watching gunplay in Aliens, Terminator and Predator, but getting educated in shooting them in the Air force bored me to death and the idiocy and dangerous disregard I witnessed on a few occasions on the firing line instilled a dislike for firearms handling and range time. I went shooting with my brother in law a couple of times for a little welcome to the family bonding, but honestly I prefer bonding in shorter intervals.

In summery: It's a no from me.

i don’t mind guns but people are idiots so that’s why guns are a problem. Just look at this thread with all these dummies posting pictures of their assault rifles. If any of you actually had to use them you wouldn’t be out here showing off on the internet. Ask the cats in the military who had to use them for 4 years straight where their heads are at now. It’s laughable to see y’all post your pristine assault rifles on NT.

I watch the news and see cops shooting and killing more people than “bad guys”. A gun in my hand wouldn’t stop that. Probably would make it more likely.

again, you afraid outside your home, stay you *** at home. Speaking generally here FYI
