i'm not against guns.. but it's absurd the lengths people go to for them

i would have assumed white kids dying would have been enough to force some level of change.. but nahhhhhhh that shh aint happen.. and it dont even matter the age of the kids

like i get for how unfortunate it is that american society would ignore a black church shooting or a gay night club

BUT white kids, especially little kids like what happened at sandy hook.. if that aint enough to force change, shhh will never happen

even though i went to high school and college in the states, i legit wonder how safe i would really feel doing the same with my kids

couple of corrections
1.There is no such thing as an assault rifle that term is bogus. The rifles you see posted are sporting rifles. The AR stands for Armalite Rifle. Assault is a verb playboy if you stabbed someone it’s not called an assault knife.

2. I served in the military Navy to be exact and I still like guns. Guns don’t define me do I have a couple sure but it’s a hobby like anything else. Shoes,cars,games,guns etc. I never want to use my gun besides sporting/hunting so they’re going to be pristine but if I ever had to use them to defend my life or my family’s life I’m mentally prepared. Lord forbid I have to.

I bought a pump and a VR60 with banana clips back in May. I haven’t touched them...I truely don’t care for guns. I said I bought them for protection but I really don’t care. That's pure NRA indoctrination and virtue signaling, similar to when the war hawks and Fox News tried to replace suicide bomber with homicide bomber, cuz all things GWOT. The term assault rifle goes all the way back to the Sturmgewehr 44 (Sturm i.e. assault, Gewehr i.e. rifle, 44 i.e. 1944). I guess, you could say, it's the select-fire medium between a carbine and a battle rifle. I would have a lot more respect for gun owners, if they didn't play all these gun lobby mind games. And when they try to mislabel firearms as mere sports equipment, they are either being disingenuous, which is bad or they are treating their weapons without the proper respect, which is maybe worse.

Said, yes, I'll be back in twenty. I said, do you have any empty shells? Said, I think so. I said, maybe I should familiarize myself unsupervised with empty shells in your living room. So much I want to say but ill make this short and sweet... this "common sense gun law" bs is a sham. Weve alrdy had these laws on the books... the AWB... and when it moonlighted it was CLEAR over a 10 yr period they had no effect at reducing gun violence. Zero. Zilch.

Laws dont stop people feom accuiring what they want. See Drugs. Human trafficing etc etc.

So if we know both practically and theoretically banning them wont make you any safer what are we doing? Thats before we even get to the more than half a BILLION guns in US citizens hands.

ar doesn’t stand for assault rifle, a 30 round mag isn’t high capacity and there is nothing “high power” about a .223.

I’m going to leave this right here since you clearly know more about something that you don’t have.

an AR-15 is a sporting rifle that’s designed for civilian use. An automatic rifle is what the military use typically it’s going to be an m4 or m16 variant that’s capable of firing multiple rounds until the operator let’s go. My AR-15 is only capable of firing one round per trigger pull...how do I know this? I own one as well as two ak variants and they are not assault rifles they are semi-auto matic sporting rifles. No different than a pistol it just looks different and fire a different caliber.

To be fair, I’ve yet so hear anyone call for an all out ban.

Also, the “nobody will follow the rules anyway” argument could apply to everything. The solution is to just have no regulations then?

Back in the day the allure of shoes was that there was literally no way you could have something unless you got them the day of or saved them. Now you can easily just buy whatever you want. I could go grab some OG jordan 1’sand have them resoled within a couple weeks. F the shoes just someone you have the bread to buy them and move on

Who’s saying guns are scary? The point is it’s easily obtainable to any idiot. That needs to be fixed. And who scared? The guy who’s going to throw hands or the guy who feels the need to have a gun at a McDonald’s?

again, I don’t care who has a gun but keep that to yourself. People need to quit pretending like it’s a life or death situation to not have multiple at all times. People talk about home defense yet only have 1 deadbolt at the front door. Just say you want them, generally speaking, and move on. The justifications are hilarious
