Besides the protection aspect, shooting guns are fun! Target shooting is super exciting.

I don’t have an issue with guns. I do have an issue with people with mental issues possessing them. Or people who aren’t responsible with them.

Trophy hunting is super trash to me.

doesn’t bother me at all if you wanna hunt deer and what not thanks to us destroying the earth and wiping out most the predators.

the deer would be even more out of control with no hunting.

if you wanna go kill and elephant or lion and put it on your wall you got a personality disorder.

where do you think the majority of gun violence and homicides in America take place? Amongst legal gun owners?

A lot of the guns that end up on the street were originally purchased legally and then resold illegally. Guns don’t just pop up in the hood. Presumably the people selling those guns that find their way into poor neighborhoods, they’re more than likely legal gun owners engaging in illegal activity. That’s irresponsible.

When was the term sporting rifle coined, the aughts?

I can only assume, it was a PR response to Columbine and the decade shootings that followed.

To me, it seems like the industry and lobby are obscuring apples with oranges. Semantics, optics and loopholes.

It's been been a while, since I trained with a Garand, MG3 and a HK3. Don't tell me there's a significant difference between unloading a 30 rounds magazine full or semi. We even rigged Garands full auto for fun with matchsticks. I'm not here to debate the loop holes or constitutional rights, I'm just saying, that legally produced and legally purchased firearms of all types and sizes find they way into the wrong hands and I just don't nurture any illusions about the arms industry, which I always compare to the opioid crisis. Especially when the industry rather than addressing the situation, they attack survivors and the families of school shootings.

I've got no problems with responsible gun ownership, I've got a problem with the cultish behavior.

Nobody in here that I can recall supports the nra.

its more of an “if they got them I need them” attitude.

after this summer’s events and the nazi takeover masked as BLM burning stuff down I’m gonna always keep some guns. Sucks you gotta do that but that’s what it boils down to.

you got both sides of the political spectrum armed to the max here now.
