to all the og heads

nt bro i feel like i want to start buying nike sb and og jordans again. i currently dont own any nikes or js, sold my entire collection last year. All the og heads who left the game and got back is it worth it and do u still buy kicks on the reg. idk i feel like sneakers are a part of my life and since i got no school for the next 6 months i ma going to work full time and so i was thinkin about buying some new heat

what ur thoughts thx b

Not an OG but I'd advise against it. All it really is, is running around for the thrill of the next release. Running around trying to cop a pair of $160 kicks that you're going to shove in your closet and wear once or twice a month. Basically, you're searching for a happiness you will never really accomplish. You'll just be herded in with the rest of us sheep on Nike's shortest leash.

If your body and wallet is ready, join. :lol

If you're having second thoughts, save yourself and jump ship.

Shoes are a waste of money. I've sold off close to 100 pairs since August and I'm down to my last 80 or so.

Only pairs that will be kept are Kobe's and AMs (and even some of those will go). I don't see anything wrong with picking up a pair here and there on clearance, but that multiple pairs a month at $150+ is a no no.

And not to mention how hard it's become now. ***** not even fun anymore.

Think back as to why you sold your collection off in the first place. Are you only getting back in because you see other people getting back in? Do it because you want to do it. Just my opinion.

, exactly why i stopped buying. People are waaay too thirsty now. Jordan releases used to be so easy to buy. Now regular *** releases sell out in 10 minutes online :{

OP, look, it's real simple. Either you like sneakers or you don't. The older you get you do realize it is a waste of money and you become more selective of what you buy according to your budget. The real question here is, who are you buying for? Do you genuinely like them or riding the trend? I been into kicks as long as I remember, and I don't buy as much. Even when you "stop" you still keep an eye out on sneakers. It's just a part of you and never goes away.

I don't plan on copping any new releases. Only js from 2000s, some first SB dunks and probably player exclusive. I also know that each pair is going to cost my two weeks pay

Thx guys but I ain't following anyone or any trend. Just was reminiscing about my collection and the thought of buying again came to my head

actually started copping some kicks again myself after a few year hiatus.

its weird now, you gotta twitter rsvp and this n that for a lot of the kicks

I don't see myself buying kicks like I used to again

Waste your money hitting up some bars or clubs... fun stuff

kicks impress some chicks but mostly dudes.

grow up homie.  theres more to life than having 100 pair of shoes if you not ballin for real. Get your car, house, and debt under control.

Rarest shoes I've ever had. I'm currently restoring them. I got an offer of $4000 from a serious collector once but I passed.

These are the only shoes I've ever truly loved.

still pathetic.  Use that money to better your life.  Save, go to school, pay off debt, buy a car, get a spot....all better options than spending your whole check on sneakers.

so he wants to buy a few pairs of kicks here and there, do all of you guys walk around barefoot so you can pay off debt, buy a house etc....?

if he wants to buy some kicks with his $$, nothing wrong with that.

dude want's to buy $800 jordans and which is equal to 2 weeks pay.  Do you think thats smart? If you do then maybe you need to reevaluate your own life homie.

I have a rotation of Gold flightposites, Black/Navy flightposite IIs, Black/Red/White Jordan VIII's, Kobe VI which I hoop in, and the rest of my stuff is cheaper that I hoop in or dress/club shoes.  I'm content.  Everybody is different but if you don't make that much bread you can't have these expensive taste.  It only hurts you.

This is what's wrong with people nowadays..
