Sup ya'll, thread title says it all. Answers will be from the Bible. Rudeness will be ignored in here, just a fair warning. Repeated questions will likely be skipped.
Prayer requests are welcome
Basis of the Christian faith
What is Sin?
Sin is doing something contrary to
the nature and will of God.
ex: God cannot lie, therefore it is a sin.
History
God sent his Son to die for the sins of this world
2000 years ago.
In his life on Earth he did many
miracles
feed a crowd of 5000,
heal the sick,
cast out demons
and many more.
He was persecuted, mocked, and
betrayed by his own people,
all without committing a single sin.
Upon his death, he freed us from our sins,
as long as we believe in him we should
not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16
With his resurrection on the third day
He proved to the world that he is
truly the Son of God.
Through our repentance and turning from sin
and acceptance of Jesus Christ
as our savior, We become born again.
When born again (saved) the Holy
Spirit comes to you and transforms you
from the inside out..
Therefore if any man is in Christ,
he is a new creature;
the old things passed away;
behold, new things have come.
2 Corinth 5:17
Going to church every
Sunday does not
make you a Christian
Reading the Bible does not
make you a Christian
It is an everyday communion
with your creator through
the Holy Spirit
and a life of servitude.
Your body is the temple of God
and he dwells in you. 1 Conrint 6:19
Want to truly accept Christ
as your Lord and Savior?
This is the most important
question you will be asked in
this life.
Come to God
with a humble heart
Recognize your sins
The Ten Commandments
1.Thou shalt have no other gods before me
2.Thou shalt not make unto thee a graven image
(any ideas of God not of the bible)
3.Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in Vain
(JC, OMG)
4.Remember the Sabbath Day, to keep it holy
5.Honour thy Father and Mother
6.Thou shalt not kill
(If you hate someone, you have murdered in your heart 1 John 3:15)
7.Thou shalt not commit adultery
(If any man looketh at a woman lust fully, he has commited adultery
with her in his heart Matt 5:2
8.Thou shalt not steal
(Even if its something little)
9.Thou shalt not lie
10.Thou shalt not covet
Confess your sins to the
Lord
Ask for forgiveness.
And Turn away from your sins
Trust in God's promise of Jesus Christ, who died for
your sins so that you would not have to face
his wrath, but so you could be called His son.
I Bless the Lord for your life.
