On July 18th, we officially relaunched NikeTalk.com on the Huddler platform.  For many of you, this was viewed as a win simply because Huddler was not Yuku.  However, I hope the past 90 days have helped you understand why we opted for this particular platform over its many competitors.

Total downtime for the quarter has been measured in minutes, not days.  We've enjoyed regular system updates and bug fixes, deployed almost seamlessly.  Some of those updates included minor feature upgrades, like the addition of advanced search options within threads and modified image upload tools.  Today, as you may have noticed, Huddler's added a new thread gallery feature to the site.

We're pretty excited about it, so, to make sure this isn't overlooked, I thought I'd take a moment to introduce thread galleries and how they're used.

On the right side of your screen, you'll now find a "recent images" module:

So now, when you click ANY page of a thread, you can get a glimpse of what's just been added recently.  This is especially useful for sneaker news threads, "what did you wear today" threads, and so on.

At the moment, this only includes images that have been uploaded directly to the site.

Clicking any of these images - including any image within the thread - will bring you to a revised single image view:

As in the previous version, you can click the "previous" and "next" buttons to browse photos individually.  However, you can see we've added a new "gallery view" link here.  This link, and the "view all" link in the recent images module, will take you to the brand new thread gallery view:

The gallery view employs endless scrolling, so you can easily see every single image included within a thread at a glance.  As you'd expect, clicking any image will allow you to view it in its full size.  When you're done, just click the red X in the upper right hand corner to resume viewing the thread as normal.

I hope you enjoy the new feature.  As you can see, both our staff and our friends at Huddler are working very hard to make NikeTalk the best it can be.  None of us plans on stopping here.  The new mobile site will be the next big upgrade and, if all goes as planned, we'll be able to give you a special preview of that within the next few weeks.

Thanks as always for your continued support of our community!

i knew there was something new about that... just thought it was always there for some reason so didnt think much of it :lol now if you can change the post/topics count in the front of the page to 20 and not a 100 NT would be perfect

Can you make NT work for Tapatalk legit ? 8o

Saw not too long ago. I can't think of anything negative, only positive. No need to dig page to page for that one pic.

It's cool, but it also can ruin the setup to someone's image posted in a spoiler. That's my only quarrel. Everything else about it is great.

I don't like the feature since I can't disable it but I like the feature for like collection threads.

It ruins potentially funny posts for me, I just want an option to not have it instead of getting rid of it completely though.

post I made in the other thread too.

I know i'll never look through it. It's a good feature for members that don't frequent threads numerous times a day to just look through the gallery(if that's what they're here for) and go about their day/night.

I dig the feature

easy way to find pics/gifs without having to sort through threads (especially large threads) to find them

We never officially supported it.  The mobile site will be available by the end of the year.  Development resources should be devoted to making our mobile site the best it can be, not to enabling access for an inferior version.

Not at the moment. In most threads, it's only occupying blank space.  Whether you use it or not is your choice, but it's hard to argue that it's worse than blank space.  The usual "fear of change" seems to apply in many of these cases.  Some users struggled with the platform change at first and have since come to appreciate the new features.  The nice thing about this is that people can choose to utilize or familiarize themselves with it at their own pace.  Aside from the blank space occupied by the recent image module, use of it is entirely optional.

its cool, but its definitely gonna be a spoiler if you not reading da thread...robs lulz

Nice addition Huddler. Thanks for explaining, Meth.

By mobile site, do you mean browser friendly? Or stand alone App?
Just wondering, glad to see a lot of effort put in by you guys. Thats not something you see too much on message boards.

Heck, you don't really see too many message boards anymore, so thats not only +1 but +2 for that.

Only reason I dont like it is because it crops out videos when its posted in the first few posts of a thread. I circumvented the original ads blocking it by using an ad blocker but this feature brings back that problem now.
