I love this team man.

Not sure if you seen that Reddit AMA with the long snapper on the practice squad but he said the locker room environment is "awesome" very close knit and more like college.

Damn I'll have to check the thread.

I know not all of us Warriors fans but I can't help but draw parallels between the two clubs in their respective early building stages towards success.

The adeptness of the FO, the uber talented youth in sources through the draft, and the immediate team chemistry on display in both cases. It's fun to see.

The best part is watching this team grow with Mack and Carr, respectively. From their first season to where they are now, like watching your kids grow man...

Speaking of kids, got mine his first jersey a couple of days before the game...Derek Carr

in the last 5 years we've lost 15-16 against the NFC, before Sunday our other win in that stretch was SF a few years ago.

we've also lost the last 3 against the Falcons. last win in '00.

re-watching the game.

in the 4th the Saints got 2 pretty big breaks DJ's bogus PI where all he did was run the out of bounds which setup a score. and the forced fumble by Hayden that the trailing Saint recovered, which also setup a score.

we also got 2 big PI's on our last drive too tho, one on 3rd & the one that saved our drive on 4th down.

thinking our defense will be way better next week.

ALAMEDA, Calif. – Karl Joseph  was the Oakland Raiders  starting strong safety throughout training camp and the preseason. Then came the first depth chart of the regular season and Joseph found himself behind veteran Nate Allen.

When the Raiders opened the season at the New Orleans Saints  on Sunday, their first-round pick did not play a single snap on defense.

What are we to make of Raiders rookie safety Karl Joseph not playing a snap on defense in the opener? AP Photo/Eric Risberg

What happened? Has he had a setback with his surgically repaired right knee, which limited him to four games last fall at West Virginia? Is he having trouble catching up to the speed of the game at this level? At a generously listed 5-feet-10 and 205 pounds, have the rigors of the position caught up to the youngster?

Or are we simply reading too much into a first-rounder not appearing at his position in a season opener?

After all, Jacksonville Jaguars  second-rounder Myles Jack, a linebacker who also is coming back from a knee issue, did not see time on defense in his opener either, appearing on only 12 special-teams snaps against the Green Bay Packers.

Meanwhile, the only action Joseph saw in the Superdome came on nine snaps on special teams in Oakland’s 35-34 victory over the New Orleans Saints.

With the Atlanta Falcons  coming to Oakland this weekend, perhaps it’s best to review what defensive-backs coach Marcus Robertson told me about Joseph during camp.

“I think he’s in an outstanding position,” Robertson said of Joseph. “We already know that he’s an outstanding player coming in from the college level. I think once you surround him with veterans like Reggie [Nelson], a perfect guy for him to learn from, a guy who’s done it and doesn’t mind teaching it as you go. That, I think, is beautiful.”

The goal, then, Robertson said, was to “grow” Joseph with coaching.

“As quick as we can, because he’s got all the physical traits to be an outstanding safety,” Robertson said. “Now we’ve just got to continue to educate him as much as we can because, obviously, he doesn’t have the experience, so we’ve just got to pour it all into him and see what sticks. Whatever doesn’t stick, we’ve got to pick it back up and throw it at him until he gets it all.

“The good thing about Karl is, Karl wants to be great, and that’s a hell of a place to start.”

Doesn't surprise me one ******* bit

Let's keep this thread alive.

What is 1 thing you are worried about and 1 thing you expect to go right for the Raiders this week?

I'll try to stay away from the obvious of Julio Jones

Worried: The ATL run game. Between Freeman and Coleman I think they have a pretty good rushing attack to go along with some really good WR's. We'll need a big game from Ben Heeney to hold down the middle of the field.

To Go Right: KMack bout to get multiple sacks. Drew Brees got some incredible feet man, that dude is always in a ready to throw motion. Matt Ryan ain't that...I expect to see Mack end some drives on Sunday.

Worried- Their run game as well. Gonna need a big game from Dan and Jelly. Julio is Julio so we'll see.

Go Right- Offense and pass rush. Carr will have a lot time in the pocket. I expect our good run game from last week to carry over too on this D. Mack is gonna bounce back for sure this week.

Worried - Julio and Sanu

To Go Right - pass rush and running game.

Worried about: our OL situation

Confidence in: passing attack, rushing attack, pass rush, pass defense

Worried: Bull Muskgrave and his conservative ***** footing will suck the life and energy out of a sellout crowd that will be going absolutely insane at kick off AND once again prevent Carr and the offense from establishing any kind of rhythm early.

Right: The entire defense. I think Norton and JDR will make some significant scheme changes particularly on the DL, in case ATL tries to neutralize Mack and Irving with double teams and chips like NO did. I'm expecting Jihad Ward to be more involved. I have confidence in our run D. I think Sean Smith is going to be locked into an absolute battle with Julio and that he will hold his own.

Interestingly enough I thought the team ran the ball better with the make shift line rather than the starting line [emoji]129300[/emoji]
