It's the retrograde. You can't fire the coaches. You just can't. Again, the tools are there how do we use them best and consistently and get out of our comfort zone to be who we really are? Yes there is another team on the other side of the ball working against us every play but how do we impose ourselves and form an identity consistently. We haven't gotten there quite yet. A lot of it is mental stuff.

There were maybe one or two times that Carr had the option to scramble and run in for the touchdown in the red zone but instead he hesitated and deferred to throwing. It was as if some of that fight and will to impose ourselves got shelved and we were accepting what Atlanta was giving us. JDR goes for it on 4th and whatever to bring that boost/moxie back. It's about confidence building.

KNJ is definitely on the seat if he can't make adjustments. Musgrave will be saved by Carr and Coop

Man yall are trippin. :lol

Purrp what's your thoughts on Norton man? Honestly, you've been knowing the game more than me since we joined this **** so I'd like to know how you feel.

Man he's looking a little funny in the light to me.

Last season I was willing to chalk it up to personnel. I was willing to chalk up last week to Drew and NO, but now we're 2 games in and I fee like we're playing worse defensively than last year. I wasn't expecting that.

I'm willing to wait and see what he does on the road next week and then again at Baltimore, give him a full month to make the adjustments and find a solution, but we definitely have a problem and it's his responsibility.

i agree with this, just a little worried that if it takes long for Norton to Get it together ,it might be to late to make a playoff push.

whatever happened to my boy Jumpman? Last I remember he got suspended for getting into it in the NFL Thread

Should be interesting to see if JDR takes a bigger role with the defensive play calling.

^ At that point Ken Norton could join Greg Roman at the unemployment office

Damn I'll have to check the thread.

I know not all of us Warriors fans but I can't help but draw parallels between the two clubs in their respective early building stages towards success.

The adeptness of the FO, the uber talented youth in sources through the draft, and the immediate team chemistry on display in both cases. It's fun to see.
don't see the comparison. One team is all media hype to thos . Whole the dubs snuck up on people

What y'all gonna say next week if marriota puts up 35 points? :lol

He was well on his way in the preseason. They scored on all his possessions in preseason. And it was against 1st team defense and we travel there smh.

I'm not gonna stand up for Sean bc Julio was on a bum ankle and was still getting open at will. Matt Ryan missed a few open shots downfield and threw the shorter route.

Sean Smith smh been trash all year. He up there with hall at this point

i think we really lack the leadership in the secondary that cwood brought. our line is OK, but that could use a bit more work too. nelson and amerson have been playing well, but thats it. we need a leader out there. i also blame norton for the terrible play calling. after 2 weeks, the league knows they can light up our secondary when given time. if we can get more pressure on the QB, we'll be fine. i think our inside rush is the main concern. brees and ryan just had way too much time without much pressure.

Tennessee is going to be a tough match up, I don't think we line up well against them defensively. Plus, you can never count out a **** LeBeau defense to keep them in the game.

I'm worried for Heeney going head up with Derek Henry

He returned under the name DerekCarr a couple weeks ago im pretty sure :lol Dont know if it lasted

Tafur seems very concerned about the defense, which should be alarming since the guy is casual about his positives and negatives. He's also concerned about Karl not being able to see the field beyond special teams, which I agree with. Can't have that pick be another bust.

My homie sent me that with "Mantis from Kung Fu Panda is a member of the Raider Nation?"

The common question coming after this game is why Richard and not Murray or Olawale on that 4th and 2...Yes we can do woulda coulda shoulda, but it seems that Richard wasn't expecting it either...

Why not use Olawale? He's been breaking through lines quite well in short yardage situations and shaking would be tacklers with ease.

Atlanta is decent, but not that great. It's a winnable game at home.

This game is being painted much worse than the Bengals opener last year. LOL. Love it.

Yeah, that was just poor execution on that play. Don't think it was a bad call to go for it considering how the defense was playing, but the game was pretty much lost on that stop.
