because where does it end? do we have to deal with 100 threads every week of people putting their affiliate links in them, pretending to be actually trying tohelp NT out when they're just trying to help themselves out instead?
there's a reason spamming isn't allowed on here - and this is just a derivative of that awful mess. sure it seems harmless enough, but you guys have ahard time seeing the big picture with this kind of thing. it's the same reason so many of you can't understand why cursing and flaming and trollingaren't allowed - it's the way things spiral out of control.
instead of trying to just out of the good of his heart help NT with a link to a sale on some stuff, he has to get a piece himself out of it. if he offered upboth links, openly said "if you don't mind, use my link to help me out", that's one thing. But to present it like it's just the regularold link to the place, and leave it as the only one - that's just greedy, and over what? Some t-shirt points or something? Seems frivolous as hell to me- and sums up most of the spirit of NT i always see, which is just everybody trying to get theirs.
Many other forums I'm on are much more helpful and willing to look out for each other than NT as of late. Maybe it's just b/c it's so young overhere.
