For all my dudes out here that are pretty good with time mgmt and for those who are not really on it (like myself)
What do you guys make sure you accomplish every day? How do you make sure to put most of your time to good use?

My job is one of those with odd days off, not the standard 9-5 . Some days I work early morning, some days I'm off close to midnight.
I don't want to let this hinder any growth in life.
Job pays decent but I don't want to stop there.
Need more discipline. What helps you guys stay motivated and not lose focus?
Organizational tips?
This can probably help us all be better...

I'm not the most organized by any means but i try my best. I have a pretty hectic work life sometimes and I work 7 to 3:30. Honestly im one of those people who make lists and write stuff down. I have a desk calendar to write my stuff out for the week. I also utilize my phone calendar and set reminders of stuff. Also i find waking up early makes me the most productive.

I agree. I wake up early and do the things I have to do for the day. For me that's working out, reading, and breakfast. I know if I try to do it after work the chances of me doing it are shot. When I start work I write a to-do list, No more than 5 things. My Outlook calendar pretty much schedules all my work stuff but I use it to schedule other events as well. Nice to have everything on one calendar. I use reminders too (the only thing siri is good for). I have good days where I'm super productive and bad days where I'm on YouTube most of the day, but I've noticed that the bad days are few since I started implementing these practices.

Definitely put more emphasis in managing my time. With two kids, you have to do your best to be on schedule for all that you planned for the day.

definitley being a parent makes things easier when you are organized

To-do lists and knocking them out. Folding clothes/laundry while watching TV shows/movies. Tesla auto-pilot while getting ready/driving to work. Trying to take care of whatever business I can while I'm at work during slow times (paying bills, buying necessities etc.)

who you telling.

i argue with my friennds and family who dont have kids about how my time is precious. They dont have kids and live that spontaenous life.

sadly i cant jump out of bed at 1am to go club hoppin in manhattan or bk anymore.
Or when they want to plan trips but show up at 1pm while my kids be ready at 8am all excited and ****.

I learned to time everything and plan for at least some jam up or **** to cause me to be late to anything. Hence im usually 10 minutes early

I’ve read several books on this over the years and here are some of the tips that I use daily that have helped me out and a few folks have touched on some:

-Figure out the most important tasks you want to get done for the day but it should only be 3-5 tasks. Studies show when you make long to-do lists you’re more likely to go for the easy, less important tasks just to cross them off rather than the bIgger, more important ones.
-Use your calendar to schedule everything to make everything that’s important and if it’s on the calendar, it gets done.

-Wake up early and try to get a jumpstart on those important tasks because otherwise it’ll be harder as the day goes on. Its also said that owning your morning is the best way to boost productivity.

-Another productivity tool that’s helped along with the schedule is working in 25 min increments then taking a small break (or sometimes I go 55 then take a 5 minute break). It helps with focus because I dedicate the interval to working and then during the break, I’ll quickly check if there’s an urgent message or something I need to respond to otherwise I just reset. I try not to respond to push notifications because they can lowkey be the death of productivity.

I think of time management as setting goals/priorities and consciously making decisions throughout the day based on if they help achieve them.

Stay lit all day :smokin.
time management is fun. Proactive, keep it movin, stay ready and who gives a fuh
