I think time travel to the PAST is at least theoretically possible given some amazing breakthrough in technology and who knows what. But to suppose we cantravel to the future, or that someone can travel to the "now" from the future is not possible. You would have to assume that the "now" isnot the present but instead some point along a time continuum where past, present, and future all exist simultaneously. But if you believe that the present istruly the present and tomorrow and furthermore the distant future is undecided and until it actually happens non-existent making forward time travelimpossible, because travel to something that doesn't exist.

if time travel was possible don't you think someone would've come back in time to tell us how to invent this machine... and it goes in a circle

did you read my post? You cant come back from the future!

and yeah im watching that south park, but the theory is serious

De Ja Vu, the movie.

lol, I was watching that South Park too.

Oh, time travel to the past is definitely possible, in fact it has been proven numerous times here on NT.

Actually time travel to the past would be practically impossible as almost all physicist agree that you'd probably only be able to travel to a point afterwhich the first time machine was created. So using the history of time travel in fiction as our guide we'd only be to travel as far back as 1888.

Not Possible. In any time travel movie if someone changes the past the future will be changed, right?
well what happens to the already existing future? does it change? it cant, ppl just cant forget and live another world.
There are so many more reasons time travel is IMPOSSIBLE. but what i can say is maybe there is an alternate universe maybe? nothing disproves that theory.

Ok, let's say all of us are, in a sense, "time-traveling" in our own little timeline. What if there are multiple "realities"... forexample, in one timeline, you can be chilling on the couch. In another, you can be out driving to wherever. I mean, each of our decisions leads to a set ofspecific consequences... and what if each of these consequences has its own "timeline"? Each decision can serve as our device of "timetravel".

I'm sure that was confusing as hell, but it made sense in my head. I swear!

this would in fact support my theory because then the future cannot truly exist until my make a decision to advance into it.

I believe in time travel, in as much as the alternate realities we could or would travel to would only be extensions of the fourth dimension, as was discussedin a recent post here in the General forum.

You're saying that time travel is practically impossible because you can only travel back as far as when the machine was created..... soyou're really saying that time travel IS possible.

Of course time travel is possible, we're all time traveling right now we're just locked in at going forward, and no one has ever said time travel is atotal impossibility its just only theoretical because it's something no one's ever cracked because the need for I dunno power, breaking the speed oflight and whole bunch of other things that are above my pay grade to understand. But almost anyone who you talk to that knows what their talking about willtell you that the latest point you could travel to would be the moment at which someone started the first time machine.
