Flushing, Queens brother duo, Timeless Truth, dropped their new album "Cold Wave" today on iTunes. I've been following them for a few years now. Seen them live, met them several times. Very good people and they're part of that NYC 'Lo wave. They're affiliated with artists like Large Professor, Meyhem Lauren, Sean Price, Action Bronson, Roc Marciano, Your Old Droog.
This album has been in the works for a couple of years now. It was originally supposed to be an EP but they scrapped those plans and instead released the "Dominican Diner" EP in 2014. I posted some video links of the songs on the new album to give you some idea of what they're about. As I've said, I've seen them live a few times. I saw them open for Hit Squad and Your Old Droog. They're from my neck of the woods (Flushing and Corona, Queens) and like me, they're also Dominican. If you want NYC Hip Hop that actually sounds like it came from NYC, I suggest giving them a listen.
