First off, let's get a beat for the thread:

What's a good tip amount for folks who are handling my move? Got 4 people from the moving company disassembling furniture from my house and taking it to storage. A couple weeks later, they'll be taking it from storage to my new house where they'll put everything back together etc. Obviously, I'm paying a grip for this, but this is going to be extremely hard work. What's a good tip amount if they're working a good 8-10 hours on two separate occasions?

Tip? Why would you tip them if you're paying them already.

That's like me tipping the contractors or the Plummer.

It's like going to the car wash...you pay the company already, but you still tip the folks outside cleaning your car after it comes out of the wash. Same deal.

LOL...man, if yall got anything worth of value, you ain't gonna cut corners on who you hire to move your stuff. ESPECIALLY if they aren't licensed/bonded/insured. The guys you saying someone should hire from Home Depot, ain't that. LOL.

Got a grip of cuzzos out here in NorCal that work for moving companies. 2 of em just got out of Susanville and will jack yo **** on sight. Majority labors get paid under the table from the contractor and if payment ain't made,,, guess who's **** they snatching

On a side note, do ya'll tip for take-out orders? I know typically you arent supposed too because you arent being served etc.

20 each person is what I did for my last move. I'm just in a 1 bedroom though and it was 2 dudes, might get a little nuts if you got a whole squad.
