Tipping Thread. Vol. Another One

I selected no tip, and didnt think about it much but it was like half a block up and felt sort of guilty i didnt ... :ohwell:

Do any of you Tip at Panera when the register asks you, "Would you like to Tip the Team."

I have a co-worker that always tips, I want to ask her why but I won't count her pockets publicly.

Careful with those shady restaurants that have the tip already included, then you look at the bill and it still has option for another percentage in tip.

Last buffet I was at, they try to get me on the double tipping

That's still 11.8%. It's people out there with harder jobs not making $10 a whole hr, and I'm sure you fetched plates and drinks for more than 2 tables in a hour so why you complaining?

frequented a local coffee shop today and saw they were using a Square POS to take payments...when the screen prompts for inclusion of tip upon payment, do you include the suggested amounts (below)?

I hit no tip
I have no problem with doing it either
I hate when they try to guilt trip u into tipping

The last joint i went to had a 18% minimum yip. I almost lit that receipt on fire with how hard i was staring. The **** used to be 10%

If you've worked in a restaurant then you know you should tip. I can see why people don't but for me personally, it's not a big deal especially if the service was good. The only time I won't tip is if the service and food were bad.

Not tipping related

But let’s say you’re at a restaurant you are trying out with a date. The food comes out and it’s missing cheese or something. Would you guys ever send it back?

I couldn’t take the risk of it coming out with spit next time. I don’t trust servers/waiters.

I would just take the L and keep it moving.

I know this happens

I've thought about that scenario.....where you would send food back for whatever reason and the cook would spit in the food for some petty type of revenge.

Unless he hocked up a loogie with phlegm and spat it on an obvious place on your food, how would you know there was spit in there?

I mean when you take a bite, the revenge spit would automatically combine with the existing saliva in your mouth.
And there is no food that has spent more time in my mouth than saliva.
How would I know if my food was tainted.
