Last night in my high school football game I started to feel my legs cramping up...Thursday night and Friday throughout the day I drank about 3 gallons ofwater, including bananas and vitamins...but somehow I still was cramping up...

I play both ways and I'm essentially on the field the whole game so I'm sweating a lottt. What are other tips you guys have to avoid cramping?

water and pottasium and vitamin c the nite before the game.

doing so the day of the game or at half time is not enough.

Unless u guys are getting IVs rite on the sideline

Like above, plenty of fluids & electrolytes before, during & after the games.
Had a history of cramping after all day basketball tournaments, best thing you can do afterwards along with the fluids is actually magnesium, most likely intablet form. best thing for reducing or eliminating cramps.

man you need to eat 3 bananas before you go to bed and drink 64 oz of water ... when you wake up, drink another 64 oz of water at least 4 hours prior topre-game ... make sure you pee it all out ...

then hydrate normally during the game ... dont over do it once pre game starts ...

All this, but you have to eat right and be properly hydrated days before the game. You're pee shouldn't be golden either.

Leg cramping is the worst feeling ever...especially while sleeping.

You have to be consistently hydrated...you cant just drink water on gameday and expect to be fine. Drink atleast 10 cups of water a day...minimum.

Oh yeah...dont drink too much water/Gatorade. A doctor told me that too much will give you cramping as well.

i usually have a banana before the game....
and stretch before and after the game....

Do not stretch before the game...this is a myth.

Do dynamic stretches before the game...A Skips, B Skips, butt kicks, leg swings, etc.

After the game do slow static stretches.

Staying hydrated is the biggest thing... I usually try to put down a cup of water every hour throughout the day... If I'm awake, there's a cup of waternear by.
