is it me or are there too many rules on this site and most of them arent even obeyed. isn't posting fs items in your sig banned and mostly everyone does it? what is the point of the 300 rule if everyone is just posting fs items in they sig to get around this rule..i was checking the rules post and its like reading a hs text book...didt even get past rule 2

If you don't like it you're welcome to leave NT and never come back.

This is all I have to say

So then you go ahead and make a thread about it? Why is it so hard for people to just follow a few simple rules?

Just to add to that: The rules are to keep things from getting out of hand.  A little inductive reasoning would have helped you answer a few of your own questions as well.  In regards to people posting For Sale or Want to Buy items in their signature: it makes sense to do this and not continue to do so within a thread because having them in your signature will not cause a useless or fizzling thread to continue to get bumped to the top of the more popular discussion topics that are of interest to others.  Also, and this should be obvious, you should be forced to build some type of reputation on the forum so there is a basic level of trust or knowledge about you on the board before others who have been here for years start buying from or selling to you, PayPal or not.

Personally, I think the 300 post count rule is very generous.  My choice is to make someone put in at least a year of work on the board and have a 500+ post count before being able to post in the Buy/Sell forum or for that matter add any F/S or WTB information in their signature.

And on that note, let me close by saying: IBTL

Go read the Nikepark post in General and it is well explained why there are so many rules

Without order comes chaos

without rules this site would be ridiculous!! gottta have some sort of structure

If you dont like it go to ISS theyll let you sell after only 50 posts there. You are here cuz you want to be not cuz the NT mods asked you to come, so if you wanna be here obey the rules. Pretty simple IMO.

you're not giving any of us any useful information

sooo go home, grow up, and leave! thank you!

OP has a point though....but rules on this site get broken everyday. There was a certain admin on here that just recently got the axe for some derogatory remarks and he was an administrator!

This site is far from perfect, and realistically rules will still continue to be disregarded, but as far as a sneaker board NT is far better than the crap you see out of ISS.

I disagree with the post count rules. I have been a visiting member of niketalk for 10 years but just recently started to post frequently. Mostly because I never had any info to drop and because I never had the money to get deep into the collection. I have also decided to start selling some of the shoes I have and the sig is the only way I can do that because I have not hit 300 posts yet.

Though, I am likely a small minority here who have been around this long and not actively posting/selling/buying on here - probably has something to do with the fact that I am in Canada and sometimes the exchange rate interferes. With the exchange rate what it is now, it makes it a lot easier to do US/Canada deals.

pc.

edit: how ironic that I post this and then notice that it was my 300th post....hahaha....I guess I might have to make a selling post sometime soon.
