I don't think they had an issue with getting the color right, I really think JB just didn't care to.

They've proven on multiple occasions that when they give a f they can easily knock these releases out the park.

I can’t believe they released that shoe in the manner in which they did. They took 1000 step backwards with that release . For such an iconic shoe for the brand, JB treated that last taxi 12 release like an afterthought. They didn’t even try. I ended up passing on them all together which signifies how bad they were.

I copped on significant disco but mostly because I always wanted the cw, missed the 2013 retro, and also didn't want to pay resale for such an old shoe lol

That said, I completely agree with your take and 0% chance I would have paid retail for that release.

Grabbed a can of angelus mink oil spray from amazon ..

Ftr these drink that spray right tf up.
I went thru 90% of the can .
In the end theyre a little better, anyone considering this method ,dont go into it with your hopes to high, youll only be let down if your expecting anywhere near 2013 vibrancy.

Im still at it months later, just hit them with the 5th coat of mink oil. (Roughly 2 full cans)

My issue is always feeling the need for more.
