I too will be in Toronto soon. But, I will be attending a conference there and will have limited free time. What are some chill things to do at night in downtown Toronto?

Not sure if you've ever had poutine before, but I would suggest trying Smoke's poutinerie
Salad King (If you're into Thai. This place just recently re-opened above the Footlocker):

BBQ Express on Queen St. (Bulgogi meal):

W Burger on College St (pic of their poutine though):

Wonderland (check out The Behemoth):

Other good eats:

Drake hotel - Southern fried chicken and waffles

Marche (decent)

Sultan's Tent (Moroccan food) - a little pricy, but good. Also got belly dancers performing while you eat.

Places to see/walk:

Queen St. W

Yorkville

Skydome or Roger's Centre

Real Sports Bar & Grill
