Toys "R" Us Christmas catalog from 1996...

The memories. Glad to see these. Reminds me of the good old days when you didn't have to work and play video games was the most important yet greatest part of the day. Back when things were simple. Parents had money to blow yet were still middle class making me happy. Funcoland was bitter sweet. Miss that place.

We need a time machine 8)

Too many memories, street fighter going for 70 doe 8o even when the 64 had just dropped, thank momma

I like street fighter as much as the next guy, but $70...wow. I had it on Sega Saturn, and I highly doubt I paid $70 for it. That catalog does bring back some good memories though.

It's still baffling on how epensive video games were in the 90's.. I see why we had way more games for the Ps1 then the N64, SNES, and the SG...

I had the Nintendo 64 back then.

NBA Live back then was the sports game that everyone wanted.

Goldeneye was the only shooter people played on consoles during that console generation. But I enjoyed Perfect Dark more.

I even remember buying the additional memory cartridge for the N64.Which really did nothing :lol :rolleyes

Like I said earlier, cartridges were more expensive to manufacture than discs.

Since a couple NT'ers brought up this game it's only right to post this commercial with young Kobe:

The game was pretty good but nowhere close to NBA Live during that time.

+ Blockbuster back then was awesome. Rent a game for the weekend for like 3 bucks.

Super Tecmo Bowl for SNES back then was ALWAYS rented out.

I seriously at one point had it check out for over 2 weeks :lol

My mom got PISSED and lectured me about it :lol

The good ole old days when u could rent double dribble, take it home unscrew it and put pacman board back in the case and return it and have a free game upgrade lol
