Trouble upgrading to ios5....HELP!

Alright, so I'm finally getting around to upgrading my phone to ios5 and the "backing iphone up" part is going EXTREMELY slow. Seems as if something is wrong. I've searched the web and it seems as if others are having the same problem, but no solution has came up. I did a quick search on here, and didn't see anything (go rilla). If someone knows how to fix this, PLEASE help me out. Thanks in advance guys.

call applecare for help. if this is a new phone within 90 days, you'll get free technical support. if you have applecare protection plan, you'll have 1 year.

if all else fails.....

Naw, this is my iphone 4 and my apple care ended in August.

if its been a while since you upgraded it always takes for what seems like ever to back up
and it has been a while since your still on 4.whatever

I had tried running that command before, but it never worked since I didn't run it as "administrator". The command just went through and I'll now try to update.
