FORT MYERS, Fla. (AP) — Five Transportation Security Administration workers at a southwest Florida airport have been fired and another 38 suspended after an investigation found they failed to perform random screenings last year.

The 43 disciplined workers, a combination of front-line screeners and supervisors, represent about 15 percent of the roughly 280 TSA employees at Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers.

The News-Press (http://newspr.es/NATHvI) reported Monday that it's one of the largest disciplinary actions TSA has taken in the agency's 10-year history.

The TSA said that during a two-month period last year, as many as 400 passengers who underwent routine screening at the airport "never got additional random checks".

About 3.8 million passengers flew through the airport last year.


If you read between the lines, this is what happens when you fail to grope someone properly. You are fired. No doubt these workers were tired of groping children and old people. That's even what they are saying.

Translated, the passngers were screened and TSA requires them to be screened (searched) again. Some of the employees that are good people were fed up, didn't do it and were fired.

What is the resistance to this, are some of you just too afraid of real life and want to keep your heads in the sand?

If you want, you can go look up the hundreds, (yes hundreds) of stories over the years about frisking kids, theft and various other sick crimes that go on at airports.
