Pac was a good rapper but nothing special in my opinion. His supposed message is about as overrated as it gets. What was he rapping about that people didn't know at the time? having babies early, fathers not stepping up up to the plate, racism in america? Its cool that he mentioned it in his raps but its not like we didnt know all this crap was going on in America.

He was also not COMPLETELY about that life. There have been plenty of accounts by snoop and other deathrow artists how Suge used to lock his %$+ in the studio, leave for the night and expect pac to have recorded enough songs for an album. No wonder he had that many unreleased songs.......LOL. You would think a grown %$+ man like pac would actually stand up for himself despite the consequences.

Not hating on the man, he was a great talent but i just think people need to chill with the martyrdom and trying to compare him to MLK and actual social activists.

I was just listening to that Juan Epstein with Lil Kim on it.

Talkin bout Juice-Era Pac rollin up Biggie's block with a black garbage full of weed.

Big and Pac chillin on the stoop smokin out, then Nas comes through.

So you got Big, Pac, and Nas chillin on the stoop smoking blunts from a big trash bag full of weed? Just that image is kind of mind blowing.

What are you talking about? If that's the case, what message wouldn't be overrated?
Being about to speak about those things and attain the mainstream popularity speaks volumes on his music and charisma.
& I'd like to see these accounts for Suge locking him up. Pac was a studio rat to begin with.

you do realize that Pac was selling more records than Big when he was alive, right?

Still wating......
2Pac-All-Eyez-on-me-2cd-1996-cover.jpg

The album is frequently recognized as one of the crowning achievements of 1990s rap music.[sup][3][/sup] It has been said that "despite some undeniable filler, it is easily the best production 2Pac's ever had on record".[sup][4][/sup] It was certified 5× Platinum after just 2 months in April 1996, and finally Diamond in June 1998 by the RIAA.[sup][5][/sup]

1996"California Love (Remix)"11234
"2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted"
"How Do U Want It"1123
"All Bout U"
"I Ain't Mad at Cha"
[th=""]Year[/th][th=""]Single[/th][th=""]Peak positions[sup] [22] [/sup][/th] [th=""]U.S. Billboard Hot 100 [/th][th=""]U.S. Hot Dance Music/Maxi-Singles Sales [/th][th=""]U.S. Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks [/th][th=""]U.S. Hot Rap Singles [/th][th=""]U.S. Rhythmic Top 40 [/th][th=""]U.S. Top 40 Mainstream [/th]

not to mention the title track and Ambitionz. don't let your bias blind you from the facts. Puffy would probably tell you himself that Life After Death was no All Eyez on Me.
1. You do realize of course that Ready To Die(1 album) sold about the same amount of records as pacs first 4 albums right
2. AEOM 2nd disc was mostly filler. LAD was a classic listen with maybe 3 filler joints out of 24 tracks
3. Going Back To Cali>>>>>>>>>>>>>>California Love or Ambitionz

1st of all.......All Eyez on Me isn't even Pac's best album. Me Against the World is.

2nd. Big > Pac. The end.

Pac is a better poet and actor than he was a rapper. Why are people bringing up rap? If you want to go that route Big Pun was miles ahead of Biggie and Pac in terms of rapping ability.

There is no objective way to look at all this, emotion and bias will always be thrown in the mix.

IMO they're equal because they were both greats, but for different reasons.

I just think it's funny when pac stans say biggie only had flow, what they usually mean is Biggies flow was better than pacs.

As far as the overall debate, the fact that Biggie released 2 albums and is still even in the convo says it all.

You need to reread what I said. I clearly didn't say all Biggie had was flow. I said all he had on PAC was flow. PAC killed him in everything else.
truth.
