NT ... I'm starting the planning now to embark upon the adventure that is known as BURNING MAN ...

My girl and I are trying to spearhead this trip and plan it out with a medium/large group of friends who are interested and dedicated to this experience ... So I turn to you NT:

1) Have you gone?
2) What was your experience like .... That you can recall
3) Approx how much did you spend planning everything out
4) What should I bring to barter with
5) Is an RV the way to go?

ETC .... Those are just general questions, but I'd like to hear from everyone who has something to contribute to this thread

Because apparently you CAN'T describe it until you go lol .... I been reading up about it, but I think the personal stories are MUCH more revealing ... I know one of you hippies on here has gone

3) Approx how much did you spend planning everything out? 1500 for two folks (me ad the lady, coming from SF)
4) What should I bring to barter with? Drugs
5) Is an RV the way to go? Vans and bikes are great too..there are a lot of installations where you can relax, but id imagine an RV would be way awesome

My boss has been going for like the past 6 years. A few of us are planning to go with him, sometime soon.

He says for the first time out, you should only go for a few days, rather than the whole week, to get a feel for it. Keep in mind, there are NO facilities out there, no cell phone coverage, etc. Also, the playa dust is MAJOR. But yes, I hear it's an indescribable experience and that you just need to go for yourself.

I'm intrigued. But, for now, Coachella is good enough for me.
