I had a large package of shoes shipped out to me on the 25th of June and they arrived here in NYC the very next day (26th). U.S. Customs got a hold of em'and to this date they are still being held (the tracking states inbound to U.S. Customs). I called USPS and they said that once it is in the hands of U.S.Customs they cannot do anything about it, and they reserve the right to hold packages up to 30-45 days. If they need to hold a package even longer, they willsend me a letter stating so.

Anyone deal with some @$%%!%%@ like this before? I called U.S. Customs and the machine states that they cannot trace any packages or help you since hundreds ofthousands come into the country per day, so I'm basically a sitting duck?!?!

For kicks of all things.

I have to leave to Peru on the 12th for ten days to make matters worse.

Damn....that sucks, I 'm glad that didn't happen to me when I ordered my air max 1's from RMK.

Man, if them dudes can look up insides dude's butts, nothing's out of bounds as far as national security goes

I had some shoes shipped to me from the UK a few years ago, and customs held on to the package for about 2 weeks. package was opened, but the shoes were notdamaged.

Well, its almost been 2 months and still nothing.

If I call the Customs phone # they state that they do not take calls that deal with shipments because hundreds of thousands of packages enter US customs on adaily basis.

If thee ANYTHING I can do? All USPS does is tell me that I just have to wait (I have a lot of $$$ invested smh).

Mex one.....they probably looked at your name and thought you were pulling some Tony Montana weight on some ol' Pablo Escobar steez.

Worst part is when you ship USPS Priority overseas, you don't get any tracking information online once it hits customs.

I have dealt with the U.S. customs through FedEx before.
There was a number to call in my case and I had an agent assigned to my case.
They just needed to know what was in the package and since it was declared as a an article of clothing, they needed to know the address of the manufacturer ofthe clothes.
They found out within a day or two and my package was released but there should be a number to call and an assigned agent to the case.
I didn't know about it either but someone I know had it happened before so he passed the info on to me.
The thing is, it went through FedEx and yours is through USPS so I don't think the telephone number I got would help you.
The worst part of it is, you might get a bill from customs too for the package.
A few days after I received my package from customs, I got a bill from FedEx of $70 on custom fees.

Next time, make sure the package is declared a gift to ensure customs doesn't hold it.

Customs is terrible.

We were doing the floor for the set of the tv show Ugly Betty at Silvercup studios in LIC.

We ended up needing a new shipment bc the linoleum was wrecked.

It was being shipped from Europe.

They held it in customs for 2 weeks before we got it.

And then we got to finish it.

Fed Ex uses their own brokers for customs and yes, you'll get billed for it after the fact. And even if declared a gift customs can still hold it.

everytime I go clubbin in Windsor, I get stuck at customs! Sitting there for an hour isnt fun.

ever since i yelled at the lady on the phone, my boxes spend less than a day in customs.

Damn.....at this point I wouldn't even mind paying additional fees I just need my shipment of kicks.

I have no idea who to call or what to do. I call USPS and they tell me to call customs since it is out of their control. I call customs and their automatedmessage states they do not take calls regarding packages.

Do I even bother calling my lawyer? There has to be SOMETHING I can do.
