Nice! Those look CRAAAAZY. If I wore those I would be 6'6 and look insane

Thanks! In the video Chris talks about some research he saw where splayed toes offer less athletic performance than crunched ones. He said these let you splay your toes. Personally that's how I like things to be - some toe room. But it was intriguing to hear him reference that research. Have you seen that research? 🤔

It would explain why Nike's run so damn narrow. Which is a question I've ben wondering about for at least 25 years.
The research is one look at Bron’s feet.

Kevin Plank returns as Under Armour CEO

Under Armour
announced on Wednesday that CEO Stephanie Linnartz is stepping down from her role just over a year after she started, and founder Kevin Plank will return as the brand’s chief executive.

Linnartz took over as Under Armour’s CEO in February 2023 after spending nearly 30 years at Marriott International, most recently as its president. Plank, who founded Under Armour in 1996, stepped down as CEO about four years ago but has stayed on as the athletic company’s chairman.

Plank will take over on April 1 and Linnartz will stay on with the company as an advisor through the end of April.

Plank will remain a director on Under Armour’s board but will hand over the chair position to Mohamed El-Erian, chief economic advisor at Allianz, Pimco’s parent company.

Linnartz, who spent the majority of her career in the hospitality business, was tapped to lead Under Armour because of her experience building out digital sales and developing Marriott’s renowned loyalty program Bonvoy.

Since taking the helm of Under Armour, she launched UA Rewards and had plans to build out the brand’s women’s assortment to grow its customer base.

“On behalf of the full team, I want to thank Stephanie for her contributions to Under Armour. We deeply appreciate her hard work and dedication,” Plank said in a statement. “During her tenure, she strengthened the leadership team with executive hires in critical areas, including product, design, supply chain, consumer connectivity, and regional management. Her prior experience leading major brands was instrumental in focusing our consumer strategy.”

That's it.

They missed it. Steph is on his way out in the next few years. Fox is cool but nobody is paying attention to the Kings but Kings fans. Any sig is likely to be popular in Cali and a couple other places unless they hit the jackpot.

Adidas is back, Puma is treading water, and UA is probably done with having any shot at getting NBA guys to wear their shoes in significant numbers.

I read an article about an innovation center they have set up in Oregon. Best of luck to them.

Curry ain't going anywhere. And they are sponsoring more college and high school team sthan Nike or adidas. Get your facts right.

Steph is absolutely on his way. Lebron is. KD is. The older generation is moving on. In the time it takes a freshman to work their way through college, all 3 will be gone.

Trust me, I'd love for UA to pull a rabbit out of their hat and magically capitalize on how ridiculous Steph is as a player. But expecting that now, after AE, Joker, Brunson, Tatum, Booker, etc are the ones headlining the league.

If you read my post again, I specifically said getting NBA guys to wear their shoes. I live in the shadow of UA. I ball in UA shoes. I have more UA shoes than months you've been on this site

My favs are Curry 2s (lows), 2.5s, 3 Zero IIIs and I've been eyeing the Tuff Crowd collab. But they have made terrible, terrible decisions with his shoes, and that's why next to nobody in the NBA wears them. Like without Steph and Fox you couldn't even put together a full team roster of NBA guys who play in UA/Curry shoes. Go head and grab Brandin Podziemski as one of the starters

Who else we got?

UA has South Carolina, which is great since Dawn Staley is dope and they went undefeated. NBA-wise they are flagging bigtime and it's looking just as bleak as it was 5 years ago when I said these same things.

Start going back page by page in this thread and let me know what page you get to where I don't have a post with a (positive) comment about UA.
