3k is the minimum I need to survive and provide for my family. If I was single without kids or responsibility, this would be an easy transition.

How many credits do you need to graduate BTW. Is going back to school and living off school loans and option? Maybe apply for some scholarships?

I don't like school, hence the reason I didn't finish. I don't like it because it was hard but rather, I felt like it was a waste of time. I made the dean's list three consecutive years before I stopped. I don't see myself going back, but might have too.

MANNNN I feel you....but if it was that easy for you just jump through the hoops for a little longer. I know its crazy how a piece of paper opens more opportunities.

I guess if you didn't know my situation, that comment would be well deserve. However, 1. school is not for everyone, and 2. had to concentrate in making money to put food on the table for my kid and wife.

For me a degree is just a way to show employers that you are committed and can finish things off. I don't remember much of anything that I studied being applied to the real workforce.

I wish more people would come to terms with how the world is and play to win instead of being cynical for too long till it's too late, and you've lost trying to be this broke crusader.

** Not saying you are op, just a thought drummed up by his comment. If you can explain what you do like you did here with confidence in an interview, plus your experience, you'll probably find something better.

work experience is more valuable than educaation IMO.

Why not? That's your money to take.

Those UE checks kept me afloat when I was unemployed for 9 months.
