The way I read the story, it seems that he only did it when no actual airline personnel were around. How was the flight attendant supposed to stop the guy from jerking it when (s)he didn't directly see it?

Even then, what are they supposed to do, confiscate his ****? Make him get off the plane? Charge him for extra blankets? I'm not seeing malicious intent or negligence on the part of United, but I could not be seeing all the facts.

Furthermore, her claim of negligence on the part of the airline is unfair. She stated herself that whenever the flight attendent was around, the weirdo would stop with his antics, only to resume after the attendent had left. So how could they (airline via attendants) take action on her behalf when, from their perspective, there was no offense being committed?

It's ******g weird. Every bookstore or newsstand in an airport terminal sells porn magazines. What do they expect? Also, if you are buying porn in the airport, you are pathetic.

I don't believe her. Nobody else saw this dude stroking the sausage? Why did it take her a year to speak up?
 
I call bs too. Those cross country flights are almost always filled to capacity and for no one else to see this guy stroking his meat just doesn't seem possible.
 
Why not completely look away or go to the bathroom or to where the flight attendants are and explain your case to them?

She could have moved herself.
She could have went to the bathroom and stayed.
She could have socked him and told him to stop.

She has no proof that he was masturbating and thinking of her.
She is thinking too highly of herself and thats exactly what the lawyers will say.

They will give her a settlement to shut her up, but it wont be much.
