US Economy

i'ma keep it a 100 and just say that despite what these ppl say about these numbers they seemingly got out of nowhere that it FEELS like the job market is absolute trash and very similar to what it felt like coming out of college during the start of the recession. add to that that it FEELS like wages are incredibly stagnant given the cost of living. everywhere.
**** absolutely sucks and idgaf what anyone says, these numbers are either off, somebody's lying or both.

****** asking for 234343 years of experience but paying pennies and not actually hiring in the first place.
let you have all that experience and apply and watch what happens.

either the position is "cancelled" or they "...decided to go with another candidate."

whoever said everyone has a side hustle isn't lying.
a few years and even more ****** gonna resort to slinging...
watch.

it seems like it not realistic to be rich in America every year

Like fall off for me real quick
seems it’s a way to ‘share’ opportunity
keep “America’s working”

As a lot of auto/driving industries and industry workers grow older & into retirement recycling of those fields is something I never thought would be a concern... educating people and youth about those fields was the goal

To clarify whenever someone talks about “100k” this “60k” that it’s always gross.

No one throws income figures out talking net unless they specifically mention they are talking about net.

Companies want you to have 3-5 years experience before they hire you for an ENTRY level position

At some point, companies realized that training people is a waste of money and that they could just place the burden on people to figure out how to get experience. You see it all the time in engineering where employers want you to have some ridiculous amount of projects and internships to be considered for entry level positions.

You can make 60k work anywhere if you have good money management and minimal debt ....you might be staying in the less desirable parts of certain cities but you’ll be ok

No way 60k is poverty

60k is def not poverty if your only feeding yourself. Income varies depending on how many ppl you're supporting
Did you guys read? At all? That depends on here you live. Places like NY, LA, etc. That's scraping pennies for a lot. Other areas in this country, you can live comfortably or decent off that. .

Did you read? Of course it depends on where you live. Obvioisly I was speaking in refereance to someone saying 60k was poverty in NY. NY or LA, 60k is fine and don't have to scrape pennies in plenty of areas. I know people out here in LA who are doing well out here less than 50k. I didn't say it was a wage in which everyone can live on, I sinply said it's not poverty.

I know plenty of ppl living in SF, and Silicon Valley cities making less than $60k that aren't living out of their cars or on the streets

I'm not in NYC, but $60k would be hard to live off of in the Bay Area.

I do too. It's certainly doable but you're probably living with a bunch of other people with no real prospect of saving for a house or retirement.
