..my heart goes out to all of the people out there & in NO way do i feel that our country is superior because we have our share of problems as well..but it makes me more grateful to live in this wonderful country..

The U.S. is a great place to live; perhaps one of the freest societies in the world.  It's so unfortunate, though, that the United States has been responsible for lots of socioeconomic and political turmoil occurring around the globe for decades.  Our country isn't a dictatorship, but it certainly won't hesitate to support one overseas if it is in the U.S.'s interests.

Seeing all them people exercising their right to free speech and assembly and calling for democracy makes me realize why how much their country sucks.

Spoiler [+]
43.6 million people living in poverty in the United Sates. That's 43,600,000 people. That's the highest number of people living in poverty in 51 years (excluding the first year) when the US census started recording poverty data.

The top 1% earners own 24% of our country's wealth. The top 10% own 50% of our country's wealth. That leaves half for 90% of the US.
