I thought that Bush was more of a decoy in that BCS title game; Leinart/Steve Smith/Jarrett and the defense were the true beasts.  With him or without him, give Norm Chow almost a month to prepare, no one was beating USC (on the field) that year, either Auburn or OU.
Bush was kind of a non-factor that game.  Leinart came out torching the OU secondary.

There's no question who the best team in the country that year was.  The NCAA can make as many symbolic rulings as it wants, they're just digging themselves into a bigger hole.
