me and some buddy's are going up to Vancouver saturday night for one night. It looks like the area with all the night clubs and bars is Granville street. do you recommend staying in granville street hotel or in a area nearby? if so where?

Granville is rather rowdy and the hotels on that street are greasy, I would recommend staying at the Met, Hyatt, or somewhere around Dunsmuir and Burrard if you have the funds. If you meet some birds on Granville, the taxi ride back to your hotel would be like 8 bucks anyways.
