i will be going to vegas from march 30th to april 2nd for the first half of my spring break. i have never been there.

i need suggestions of what to do and where to stay. my stay there will be comped by total rewards so i have a number of places to choose from, ie. bally's, caesars, harrahs, and a handful more. i am leaning towards caesars but please give me your input.

i'm planning to do some siteseeing, hit up some major clubs, walk the strip, good eats etc etc.

they had some sort of helicopter tour which i was planning to do. club tao and club xx is on the list. i don't know of any nice restaurants? somebody told me the bellagio buffet was decent. i heard something about all the hotels being theme oriented or just decked out in general?

i don't have much time there so i want the days to be packed. at the same time, i can't stay there for long. long time stuck with casino's for a degenerate like me = gg.

thanks in advance.

Stay at Caesars.

Good Eats: Bellagio Buffet, M Resort Buffet (Studio B), Hash a Go-Go, Hot N Juicy Crawfish, my go-to spot though is Boston Pizza.

I haven't been clubbin in a couple years, but back when I use to go Pure, Jet and Tao were the spots to go.

place to stay - of harrah's properties, caesar's would be the high end, with bally's and paris following. caesar's table minimums might hit 10 in the morning/daytime, but for the most part, expect to see 15-25 minimums.

clubs - xs and tao for the "most popular" spots. since you're already gonna be at caesar's, i've heard pure is pretty cool too.

eats - try the new citycenter, a lot of really high end restaurants opened up at the aria/mall extension. i've also heard good things about the chursacarria at the mirage. not looking to ball that hard on food? mirage - blt burger is my favorite restaurant in vegas. venetian - grand lux cafe is like a better version of cheesecake factory, without the cheesecake (if that even makes sense. they just had great chicken and waffles

). as for caesar's food, i've heard the sushi place there is pretty good, probably rape prices though. i think i ate at a decent italian place in the mall once. and they also have a cheesecake factory there.

sites to see - citycenter is beautiful. fashion show mall is cool too. pussycat doll dealers at caesar's are great. if bare is open at mirage, that could be a cool place to chill if ******* are your thing.

misc. things - if you're looking for those frozen alcoholic drinks, the spot across the street from caesar's (rockhouse i think?) has them for the cheapest price from what i've seen. if you get a chance and got money to blow, you should check the venetian sports book out. they have this handheld pocket casino thing that lets you gamble while youre at the sportsbook...gambling. not sure if they have it set up for marchmadness, but during football season, they had a bunch of ever-changing propbets on it too

edit: and i cant stress this enough. if you get a chance, play at aria. it smells so clean, and there arent any waitresses on the strip that look as good as the ones there. and the comp drink sizes are od. i even jacked a glass because i was so amazed at how big it was compared to other spots.

a lot of useful information in here. i appreciate it.

i'm gonna fill my itinerary with attractions and what not.

will be @ harrah's properties to gamble for one of the days. or less. since i'm already a diamond.

citycenter and the new aria mall, are they close to caesars?

Honestly, using the search button for this will help you greatly. This topic comes up on in General every week for the last five years.

And im being serious about these old threads, they've helped me personally when I went out there LOL

I stayed at the Bellagio when I went.

I don't gamble but they had a table where you could bet on the game "War"......yes, the one you played with your Gamdma when you where a kid.

Won $280 playing that $@+$.

Try slippin a 20 to the people at the check-in desk w/ your credit card & ID & ask for a complimentary upgrade. Free upgrades FTW. (Worked at Hard Rock, got in the new towers facing the strip and pool for $60 a night. Thursday-Tuesday....on the weekends the same rooms were 180 a night).

Goodluck and bring money. Lots of it.

how do the payouts work? you get paid every time you win or do you play the whole deck? and what happens when there's a war and you win it? do you get paid even more?

Random tip, don't waste money on taxi's. Most of the hotels have an airport shuttle bus (it's like 10 dollars round trip) and some have trains that go up and down the strip (free). Plus the city bus runs the strip all night if you don't feel like walking.

Pay attention to resort fee's too, if you wondering how your room bill gets higher

($35 to use high speed internet in the room).

You get paid out every hand, so you win or lose money FAST!

Payouts are you get paid every time you win. When there's war it's just settling the push and it's worth 1 hand. One of the dumbest casino games I've ever seen.

I live in Vegas, people assume I go to the strip all the time and that there's pole dancing classes at UNLV. No and no. Anyway, I've picked up a few things about the nightlife/party life out here so I'll share some of my knowledge with you.

One thing about clubs in Vegas, is that they HATE dudes. If you're rolling 8 guys deep you're gonna have trouble getting in ANYWHERE. I've seen big groups of guys (they were a-holes though) get a line shut down until they left. First off, try to bring girls, but if you can't...then plan on spending a little money. Clubs love you if you can buy bottle service, and if you and your buddies can scrounge up enough for a bottle I would suggest you do it at a good club. Tao is good, the palms clubs Moon, Ghostbar, and Rain are good, and lastly XS and Tryst is good as well. Upcharges on bottles are ridiculously high, so plan on spending up to 8x to 12x what the bottle is worth.

Good restaurants are a dime a dozen out here. If you want one with a good view, I would go to Mix at THEHotel at Mandalay Bay, or Nove at the Palms Playboy tower. Steakhouses are abundant, you can find the standards like Morton's or whatever. I heard Circus Circus steakhouse is good but i've never been there. Stratosphere has a great view as well...but the food there is mediocre. If you want something trendy and where a lot of celebs go, N9ne steakhouse at the palms is a place to be at. They crank out a lot of business so make a reservation. These are all places where you should plan on spending 80 or more per person (exception of stratosphere).

Where to stay...honestly if you had to choose a Harrah's property it doesn't really matter. I would choose between Ceasars and Paris but thats just me.

I'm not a big gambling guy, so I dunno really where to go for that...

Anyway good luck and have fun out here, hope you have a good time.
