Tips on buying a Nintendo Wii?

Greenhills? Which store? Version? Package? Price?

Any info would be appreciated.

KC, go for the US version (US version uses american english language... wohoo...) if you have the budget (which i think you have.. hehehe) or you can also buyJapan converted to US version wii which is cheaper. you can buy one at greenhills.. shops like EYO or E-Stop (most of their consoles are already modded).Prices ranges from 15k and up. so to make this short... go for the US version, go for the Original games, and go for the unmoded console.

What are the pros/cons of a modded console? Will you get banned playing online if you use a modded Wii (similar to the 360's)? I've been wanting onetoo!

Nothing will change sa firmware kapag modified, mabybypass lang nya detection ng original games. but, you can use setup disk, if wiikey used, to change thespeed disk, para hindi mabilis at maingay, region free, and audio fixed for gc games that require audio streams. Haven't tried using a modded Wii forplaying online....

if money is not a concern (and i'm sure it's not mr. moneybags)go for the unmodded US version wii and buy original games.no muss, no fuss.try lookingfor a console at shoppesville 3rd floor.there are a bunch of video game shops there,some more legit than others.datablitz,gamestop always have them in stockbut they do sell them for 3-4k more.

The guy I talked to @ EYO pretty much explained everything about the console. US vs Japan, etc, etc. According to him, modded Japan units are now more reliablethan ever.

Looked around for a bit then went back to EYO to get the package.

19,350 pesos which includes:

Wii console (Japan, modded)
Extra set of controller (OEM)
220V power supply (OEM, unit came with 110V)
12 games
Wii carrying bag

The store offers free software upgrades, lifetime service warranty and 3 month factory warranty (for defective units)
