WEST ALLIS, Wis. - A husband, fearing for his wife's safety, takes down a bank robber at a credit union.

The man's wife was standing at the bank counter at the Guardian Credit Union in West Allis, Wisconsin, when a suspect police identified as 23-year-old Senister Smith came in wearing a hooded sweatshirt and mask and tried to rob the place.

Employees were getting about $8,000 out of their cash drawer, but to the suspect's surprise, the woman's husband jumps the ropes and tackles the would-be robber. Surveillance cameras caught the action on tape. Watch it below.

At first, the frantic wife paces in front of the counter for help, but moments later she runs to her husband's aid. It appears she even kicks the suspect.

Other employees helped the good samaritan hold the suspect down until police arrived. Smith was charged with bank robbery.

What makes it even funnier for me is I remember this dude kind of popped up out of nowhere one semester my junior year and I had a literature class with him.At first all the guys in the class was giving him props b/c of his name. Then I remember the teacher made him read out loud and this dude was stubbling overthe simpliest words. My homeboy started clowning him said something along the lines of "with a name like Senister of course he can't read, he'sdestined to a life of crime."

The robber's name reminds me of one of those villains in those old school cartoons.
